Yes, and that is the sector's exploitable feature. A statutory auditor's mandate is concluded for a fixed term, usually three financial years: the previous award notice therefore gives the date on which the contract reopens. It is one of the few sectors where the expiry can be read in advance.
7% of contracts in this sector carry no official notice in our database. The figure understates reality: a one-off opinion worth a few thousand euros is handled by telephone and leaves no trace anywhere. What is worth monitoring are the multi-year mandates and the framework agreements.
